Who Is This Surf Camp For?

Local Surf Maroc welcomes surfers at every stage of their surf journey.

Beginner Surf Coaching

Ready to start surfing or refresh your basics?

This week is designed for novice and beginner surfers — anyone new to surfing or with a few lessons under their belt.

You’ll learn the fundamentals: ocean safety, paddling, take-offs, and board control — all in a supportive environment focused on small steps and steady progress.

With guidance from our local coaches, you’ll move from standing in the whitewater to catching your first small green waves with confidence.

Start your surf journey — simple, structured, and full of Moroccan warmth.

Intermediate Surf Coaching

Comfortable in the whitewater but not yet confident in the line-up?

Our Intermediate Surf Coaching in Morocco is designed for surfers to bridge the gap between small waves and open faces.

You’ll work on positioning, timing, and wave selection — learning how to catch green waves with control and confidence.

With focused coaching and clear feedback, you’ll build the skills to surf more independently and turn hesitation into flow.

Progress with structure, confidence, and expert local guidance.

Advanced Intermediate Surf Coaching

Ready to take your surfing to the next level?

This week is designed for intermediate and advanced surfers looking for focused, high-quality coaching to refine technique and push performance.

Work closely with our expert coaches to improve positioning, speed generation, and turns — supported by personalized feedback and equipment suited to your goals.

Each session is tailored to challenge you, build precision, and unlock your next level of surfing.

Train with purpose. Progress with confidence.

How Do I Know My Surf Level?

Choosing the right surf camp starts with understanding your current level.

Before booking, we recommend completing our Surf Level Assessment.

Our assessment helps identify whether you are a Beginner, Improver, Intermediate, or Advanced Intermediate surfer so we can recommend the most suitable coaching program, surf spots, and learning objectives.

This ensures you are challenged appropriately, stay safe in the water, and make the most progress during your surf holiday.

Questions About Your Surf Week?

  • Our Surf Progression Weeks are designed for beginners through progressing intermediates.

You don’t need to be advanced — we’ll assess your surf level before you arrive and place you in the right tier so you’re always learning in waves that match your ability.

  • A coaching-first surf camp focuses on structured skill development rather than casual surf sessions. At Local Surf Maroc, this means:

    • A tiered surf level system
    • Max 6 surfers per coach
    • Daily video analysis and personalized feedback
    • ISA-certified Moroccan instructors

This structured approach helps surfers improve faster, build technical understanding, and gain long-term confidence in the water.

Unlike a typical surf holiday, our surf progression camp in Taghazout Bay focuses on measurable improvement through structured coaching and small group delivery.

  • We keep our groups intentionally small — 4 to 6 surfers per coach depending on which level you are.

This means more attention in the water, tailored feedback after every session, and the space to progress at your own rhythm.

  • Yes. Every Surf Progression Week includes daily video review sessions.

Our coaches film during surf sessions, then break down your clips frame by frame to highlight what’s working, what needs adjusting, and how to fix it in your next paddle out.

  • Most guests notice a clear difference within a few days. In a week, you can expect better timing, stronger positioning, smoother takeoffs, and a new level of confidence in the lineup.
