Have you always dreamed of learning how to surf? Or do you want to challenge yourself by trying something new? Maybe you haven’t had a surf session in a long time and need a refresher? If you nodded your head to any of those questions we guarantee that this Beginner Surf Coaching Experience is for you.
The Beginnger Surf Coaching Experience is a surf holiday package is curated for novice and beginner level surfers, ready to catch the surfing bug in Morocco. Let the Surf Coaches at Local Surf Maroc guide you through every step of surfing; from standing up on the board to riding the waves on your own.
We split groups according to ability and progression and keep our group sizes small to make sure your experience is personable. The Surf Coaches review surf conditions daily and on the spot to make sure the conditions are suitable for your progression and for you to get the most out of every surf session.
Particularly for novices, we recommend a minimum seven day Surf Coaching Experience to see the most progression in your surfing. However, any length of stay with us you will be sure to learn valueable surf theory and become comfortable with the basics, laying the foundation for you to take your surfing further in the future.
While we take surfing seriously, we aren’t a boot camp! Any surf lesson or activity can be skipped and an alternative activity arranged (please note some charges may apply), simply check out our Extras page for more inspiration. Your stay with us is your experience , and our aim is to make sure you leave Morocco with the best memories.

Check in is from 2pm, Check out is at 11am. However, your belongings can be held at your accommodation at your own risk with no extra cost with early arrivals or late departures.
Daily Schedule

7:30am - 8:30am
While we don't provide wake-up calls, there's also no need to set your alarm. As the sun rises, you'll know when it's time to get up because you'll have had the most amazing, restful sleep. Your body will just know when it's time to rise and shine.
8:30am – 9:30 am
Start your day with a hot, homemade Moroccan breakfast on the terrace overlooking Taghazout Bay.
9:30am – 10:00am
Your Surf Coach will arrive and pack for the day. This will give you some time to change and pack a bag with surf essentials: don’t forget your sunscreen! Get ready to depart for the day’s surf adventure.
10:00am – 10:30am
There are several surf spots to check out in Taghazout Bay before you make a decision on where to surf. Once you arrive at the surf spot, you’ll have time to get changed and make your way to the beach to start your surf lesson.
10:30am - 12:30pm
Time to learn! It might be a surprise, but we always start our lessons on the beach: we cover surf and water safety, along with the fundamentals of surfing. But don’t worry, you’ll still get to spend plenty of time in the water!
12:30pm – 1:30pm
Time to take a break and grab a bite to eat: enjoy your lunch on the beach! As part of your surf experience, we provide a variety of lunches perfect for the surf life. If you have a food allergy don’t forget to let us know!
1:30pm – 4:00pm
After lunch you can decide how you’d like to spend the afternoon: back in the water, practicing what you learned or chilling on the beach, taking that all important siesta.
4:00pm – 5:00pm
Once you’ve had your fill of the sun, sand and sea for the day, it’s time to pack up and head back to your accommodation.
5:00pm - 7:30pm
Down time! Spend it how you like: chill at your accommodation, wander the streets of Tamraght, or take a yoga class. The choice is yours! If there’s something in particular you’d like to see or do, check out our Extras page for information and inspiration.
7:30pm & onwards
Make your way back to your accommodation. Sit down and enjoy an authentic, Moroccan evening meal with new friends as you recount and swap surf experiences. Once the night lulls you to relax, make your way to your room for a quiet, restful sleep.
